We had a really good time! Thank you also for any prayers that may have been said for us as we travelled. The children were incredible on the plane. It was easier than in my wildest fantasies. They were so relaxed and happy and easy-going- no crying, no wanting to run in the aisles. No getting bored and kicking other people's seats or anything! Fellow travellers kept smiling at them and remarking on what well-behaved children they were and I tried to smile back without a look of shock on my face at what was happening.
I occassionally joked wryly in my head: 'Well of course they're well behaved, it's all of the excellent parenting they receive.' but I never joked out loud. Past experience has shown me that my tone of voice when joking somehow means I come across really badly (for reasons totally unknown to me. My husband will tell you how hilarious I think I am.) and people take me very much the wrong way. So in order not to alienate the people I would share breathing space with for the next few hours, I kept my lip buttoned.
Any way, I will share a few photos from our trip quite soon, but I wanted to first share the following two photos of sheer cuteness.
This one is from Marina Bay in Singapore just a few nights ago.

And this one is from a friend's wedding I attended a few months back. She sent it to me earlier this evening and I was so surprised and delighted! I hadn't even known there was a photo taken of my children at the wedding.

yes! such sweetness! glad you are home safe :)
ReplyDeleteIt's so amazing that the kids were so good on the plane - what a blessing!! And those photos are wonderful. Particularly the one from the wedding - what an incredible shot!
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely picture of both of them! :)
ReplyDeleteI also wanted to say I appreciated your comment on my post about swimwear and modesty. I loved the picture you posted as well, and it has already got my "sewing brain" turning. ;) I think I would like something similar with the only changes being slightly wider straps. Thank you for sharing!
